4 Musings:
Hey, I like the new look. Who is this about?
Well, it's not necessarily about anyone, or at least I don't think so. This was written back in 2003 during my MFA creative writing class with Wayne Koestenbaum. It is supposed to be very nonlinear and abstract, expressionistic. Anyway, I didn't have any one person in mind. The "she" and "he" in many of my more figurative poems are purely representational, ideas, types, or personifications. I think in my more narrative or straightforward pieces there is a more specific "he" or "she" that I allude to, which you can usually tell by the style its written in. But in this type of work, I guess I am hoping the reader will superimpose themselves or someone they know onto the text. However, there is often a bit of my copper pixie sprinkled into most of what I write. It's actually 15 non-sequitirs, they aren't even all necessarily related. How's that for a verbose explanation.
And I am glad you like the new look, I spent like half of an unproductive day on it.
I was having problems with the music thing, so I took it off the page.
Thanks for being one of my 3 readers.
